The inpatient APP is responsible for daily rounds in conjunction with the faculty physician, writing daily notes and orders, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team, coordinating the inpatient workflow of admissions and discharges, performing appropriate procedures (e.g., bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, Ommaya taps, and administration of chemotherapy), and performing additional duties as assigned. The inpatient APP team works collaboratively in a clinical and teaching capacity, with opportunities to attend and participate in relevant educational conferences and Division-specific research protocols. Scope and range within the unit population: Adolescent through geriatric. Cellular therapy, bone marrow transplant patients, and patients undergoing treatment of hematologic and oncologic malignancies.
